* Our Doctrinal Foundation -
- Art. No5 FEMIPA - Doctrines: Based on the Holy Bible this organization’s profession of faith is as follows:
o 1- . We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are verbally inspired of God. They are without error in the original writings, and they are the supreme and final authority for faith and life. ( 1 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20 -21)
o 2 - We believe in one God, Creator, and Sustainer of the universe, who is eternally existent in three persons -Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, deserving equal honor and praise. (Deut. 6:4; Math. 28:19; John 1:1,2; 14:25,26; Hebr. 1:1-3,8; 2 Corth. 13:14)
o 3- We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, from the virgin Mary; sinless life (John 1:14; Rom. 8:3; Gal. 4:4; Math. 1:20-25; Luk.1:35; His death to pay the penalty for everyone’s sins, His bodily resurrection (Rom.4:25; 2Corth. 5:21; Heb. 9:27,28; 10:12-14); His exaltation to God’s right hand; and His personal, imminent, pre-tribulation and premillennial return. (John 14:1-6; 1The. 4:13-18; Luk.1:32-33).
o 4 -We believe that as a result of Adams sin all mankind is condemned; all men have sinned and, therefore, are guilty before God and are under His condemnation as we are separated from God because of our sin; by nature, we are incapable of doing God’s will. (Psalm. 51:2-5; Rom. 5:6, 12 -19; 8:5-7).
o 5 - We believe that only the Holy Spirit has the power to regenerate and sanctify a person (John 16:8 -11); Titus. 3:4-7; 1 Peter 1:2)
o 6 - We believe that the sinner is justified (forgiven) by God only through exercising Faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:21-22, 2nd Corithns. 5:21; Galt. 2:16; Phil. 3:8-9)
o 7- We believe that: a) Everyone who is justified is born of God (John 1:12-13; James 1:18; 1Petr. 1:23) b) Everyone who receives Christ as Personal Savior has eternal life and by no means can he loose this condition (John 5:24). c) The new life is Christ is shown through a life lived in holiness, persevering and good works. (Eph. 2:10; Titus 3:1-4; 2Peter 1:3-8) d) everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ has been baptized in the Spirit (1 Corin. 12:13; Romans 8:9; Ephes. 1:13-14) e) Talking in tongues and interpretation, healing and miracles are not proof of being baptized in the Holy Spirit. The exercise of these gifts is not for our days, and the manifestation of these that we can find in the New Testament were in a time of transition in the establishment of the church. (Galat. 3:2-14; John 7:38 -39) Never the less, we do believe that God is sovereign and His decisions are not to be questioned...
o 8 - When man dies, our spirit doesn’t perish or become of no substance (Ecl. 12:7, Luke. 16:19-31; 23:43; 2Corth. 5: 6-8)
o 9- The dead will be lifted up, either for life or eternal condemnation and man’s blessing as justified through Christ or condemned because of unbelief are both eternal conditions. ( 1 Corth. 15:51 -57; Romans 14:9-10 Daniel 12:13; Rev. 20:11-15)
o 10 - We believe in following the commands given in the Holy Bible: a) Baptism (through immersion) of believers who are purposefully living in Christ, as a result of confessing their faith in Him as there Lord and Savior. (Math. 28:18-20; Acts. 2:41-42; 8:36 -38; 10:47 -48) b) The Lord’s Super being shared every Sunday, with the members of the church, without restriction to those who profess faith in Christ. (Luk. 22:19-20; Acts. 20:7; 1Corth. 11:23 -26) and are proving this by living in holiness (1 Corth. 10:14-17; 11:27-34). C) The use of spiritual gifts is for the edification and development of the body of Christ, at all times recognizing the Lordship of Christ. (Rom. 12:6 - 8; 1Corth. 12:13,14; Eph. 4:8-16; 1Pet. 4:10-11)
This is what we believe! Amen!
